records, receipts, etc., etc. that we painstakingly built were never even looked at.

Yuan told me that her interviewer was quite pleasant and that the only thing that she wanted to look at were the photographs that Yuan brought along.

It’s hard to believe that it’s already been more than a year since we submitted the first immigration form, but now it’s all done.  It is surprising how slowly this last month went by

The Wait is Over!

Well everyone, the inevitable has finally happened.  Yuan had her interview at the U.S. Consulate in Guangzhou yesterday.  As we expected, she was successful and her interview lasted only about five minutes!

We had heard in the past that all the successful interviews were very short and that only when the interviewer had reservations, the questions would become more and more probing.

Naturally, the gigantic package of support documentation, photographs, travel

Our friends ShuRen and Jing will be returning to the U.S. for a visit in June also, and they’re going to come to Colorado to visit us also.  I look forward to their visit and this will be the first opportunity for Yuan and I to have guests at our home together.

Well, that’s all the news for now.  As we solidify our plans, we’ll let everyone know.

however.  Ever since we got the interview date, the days have dragged on.

Yuan is traveling to her home town to visit her family and friends (Her sister just had a baby).  After that, she has to travel to Beijing to work on a bid proposal for one of her company’s clients.  If the bidding process goes quickly, all that she has left to do is sell her car and get on a plane.  Yuan’s boss is hoping that Yuan will stay in China until this contract is finalized, but if the process drags on, Yuan is going to come on over and will just fly back to China in June or July to complete the contract.
